What

I will visit designers and craftsmen using a questionnaire to trigger a discussion around their discipline and production. In a wider perspective, this project will also concentrate on the cultures, customs, know-how, habits and traditions.

How

I already have plane tickets for Morocco, Senegal and Madagascar. I need your support for the «round the world» ticket that will include stops in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, New Caledonia, Australia, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Cuba and Brazil.

Why

Research that is direct and anthropological, so as to allow the creation of an inventory of designers, thoughts, designer objects, recipes and manufacturing techniques with the aim of reflecting on durability, between industry and crafts and on the objects themselves and their relationship to mankind.

In Fine

At the end of this non-exhaustive round the world trip, the aim is to create a collection of objects through selection only so as to demonstrate and develop views and a conclusion to this project.

Née en 1979 à Pompaples, en suisse. Designer industriel, 2004/ECAL.
Récompensée pour son projet de diplôme par une bourse Fédérale de Design en 2005 avec laquelle elle crée le projet «louise blanche».

Indépendante depuis 8 ans, elle travaille pour différents domaines du design: du produit au mobilier en passant par le textile, la scénographie ou des installations plus conceptuelles et théoriques.

En 2008, son premier objet à s'envoler pour le monde de l'édition à grande échelle est la fourchette-avion «Airfork One».
En 2010, elle commence un projet de questionnement sur la pratique du design sous le nom de «Tabula Rasa».
En 2012, elle continue sa recherche sous le nom de «Global Design Research» qu’elle commence début 2013, en vue de présenter les résultats dans le courant de l'année 2014.

Geboren 1979 in Pompaples in der Schweiz. Industriedesignerin, 2004/ECAL. Ihre Diplomarbeit wird 2005 mit einem Eidgenössischen Förderpreis für Design ausgezeichnet. Mit diesem Preisgeld initiiert sie das Projekt «louise blanche».

Seit 8 Jahren selbstständig arbeitet sie in verschiedenen Designbereichen: vom Produkt zum Mobiliar, mit Ausflügen zu Textil, Szenografie oder eher theoretischen und konzeptuellen Installationen.

2008 kommt ihr erstes Massenprodukt auf den Markt, die Flugzeug-Gabel «Airfork One».
2010 beginnt sie ein Projekt unter dem Namen «Tabula Rasa», welches die Designpraxis hinterfragt.
2012 führt sie ihre forschende Arbeit unter dem Namen «Global Design Research» weiter, um 2013 eine Forschungsreise anzutreten und im Verlauf von 2014 die resultierenden Arbeiten zu präsentieren.
